Marie Dahlstrom is a Danish vocalist, producer and songwriter, who consistently proves herself as one of the most essential voices in underground R&B. Taking influence from acts including Musig Soulchild, India Are and Lars Jansson, Dahlstrom now splits her time between London and Copenhagen and is preparing to unveil her second full length album, due for release in 2023 – with its first single
“Clouds” (feat. MiC LOWRY’s Delleile Ankrah) out now.
Her critically acclaimed debut album Like Sand was released in 2020, recorded between LA, Copenhagen and London. Like Sand featured collaborations with acts including south London singer James Vickery, California based songwriter and producer Jeremy Passion, Brooklyn based singer/producer Elijah Fox, London-based Conor Albert and guitarist Beau Diako to name a few.
Prior to the release of Like Sand, Dahlstrom released a string of well received EPs: her debut ‘0.0’ in 2016, ‘Nine’ in 2017, and ‘Kanel’ in
2018. Following Like Sand, Marie released two further EPs in 2021:
‘Safe Place’, and the collaborative EP ‘4inARow’ – the latter made in conjunction with regular collaborator Dan Diggas and Canadian rapper Aligo.
Marie Dahlstrom is supported and praised widely at press by the likes of Billboard, NPR, NYLON and Complex, alongside co-signs from The Joe Budden Podcast and consistent radio airplay from BBC 1Xtra DJ’s Jamz Supernova, DJ Target, Toddla T and Rinse FM’s Jyoty.
