I can’t say enough how much I love this show. What started as a bastardized step-sister of the MCU, became its own thing starting in the second season and never looked back. It’s a shame that the viewing audience abandoned the show by the middle of the first season and didn’t hang around long enough to see the incredible wild ride it started in the middle of season 2.
One of my favorite things is watching folks on YouTube discover the show and watch their reactions as they progress through the show and the show and awe as the show amps up with each season until the incredibly satisfying series finale in season 7.
The worldwide law-enforcement organization known as S.H.I.E.L.D. (Strategic Homeland Intervention Enforcement and Logistics Division) employs an elite team of agents who investigate strange occurrences around the globe and beyond. Its members — each of whom brings a specialty to the group — work to protect those who cannot protect themselves from extraordinary and inconceivable threats, including a formidable group known as Hydra. The series is set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and acknowledges the continuity of the franchise’s films and other television series.
