I’ve always respected Doja Cat’s vibe. Since day one, she’s been one of those unfiltered artists who’s more about the music than the fame, choosing to bare her soul… positively or negatively. But the music has never touched me. Recently, she’s seemed to filter in some stuff I can get along with. “Attention” is one of my favorite songs of the year, and “Paint The Town Red” has been creeping into my heavy rotation slowly but surely. Her newest joint, “Love Life” is so ‘boom bap’, so ‘Neo soul’ that I can’t help but f*ck with it. This new version of Dojo Cat has got me open for sure.
