Kind of a light week, so i successfully grabbed a few comics I wouldn’t normally get (i.e. DC and Image stuff). This week was heavy in the Spider-corner of my Marvel stack.. including the comic of the week…
Comic Book of The Week:
Ultimate Spider-man #10
Hickman / Messina / Wilson
After the dramatic events of the last issue, Peter faces mounting pressure to balance his personal life with the responsibilities of being Spider-Man. In this issue, Peter struggles to maintain his relationships with friends and family while battling a new, formidable threat emerging in New York. The issue features fast-paced action sequences as Spider-Man faces off against mysterious enemies tied to a larger, looming conspiracy.
This issue is a PANEL BOMB. If you dislike 9=panel grids and readling a lot of word bubbles, this might not be the issue for you. It feels more like an Bendis issue of the original volume, than a JH issue.
Hickman’s sharp writing captures Peter’s internal conflict, as he grapples with the weight of his choices and the ever-growing danger in his world. He blends his trademark narrative complexity with intense, grounded moments, showing a Peter Parker who is still learning and evolving. With the Ultimate Universe expanding, Ultimate Spider-Man dives deeper into Peter’s challenges as a hero, building anticipation for what’s to come.
