Good stack this week. It was mostly X-Men and Batman, but good books for both sides. But the Adsolute Comes train is just getting started but you know the absolute Caped Crusader takes the nunber one slot…
Comic Book of The Week:
The Ultimates #6
Snyder / Dragotta
In issue two of this book, Snyder picks up his world building efforts. the ‘absolute’ Batman keeps putting heat on the Party Animals as he shows he can escalate the violence on the same level. All the while, Secret Agent ‘Alfred’ watches from the shadows trying to find a way in to forge some type of vigilante partnership with The Bat. At the same time we get to meeting some of the other cast, most notably, Martha Wayne, who still alive and best buds with a recouperating Jim Cordon. And the surprise appearance of Selina Kyle adds a lot more pieces to this puzzle. THIS feels like what the tv show GOTHAM should’ve been.
Synder expertly unveils this new, vicious Gotham piece by piece. And there’s something about Dragotta’s action-oriented art that make each blow even more vicious. There were a lot of good books this week, but Absolute Batman #2 definitely peeked at the top of my stack.
