It's amazing how Chris Jericho has been able to stay relevant in professional wrestling for so long. He has the uncanny ability to reinvent himself when needed to stay ahead of the game. In his latest stint in AEW, his biggest selling point has been his theme song "Judas", performed by himself and his band Fozzy. The song is so popular that even if he comes out to silence, the audience sings the entire theme for him. Another notch in Jericho's belt.
Nation of Violence (Samoa Joe's 5th TNA Theme Song)
This theme is in my top 5 of all wrestling themes. I don't think any other theme has embodied the persona of its character like "Nation of Violence" by Dale Oliver. I love how they start it with his iconic intro and then at the end, drop to a new beat with Oliver's raspy flow. Pure adrenaline.
Big Pressure (Remix)
Swerve Strickland has been on my wrestling radar since he first appeared on NXT. Unfortunately, they didn't know what to do with him so his career had a lot of starts and stops. Eventually, WWE let him go and he showed up in AEW, where (even though it took a little time) he got his chance to shine. He was slowly making waves until he started using the remix to a rap song he previously recorded called "Big Pressure". Add his manager Prince Nana's iconic dance during the entrance, and all eyes fell on Swerve. He's making the most of…
Glass Shatters
The Main Event between The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin at WrestleMania X-Seven is one of my favorite matches. And watching the unthinkable... Steve Austin turning heel to join forces with Vince McMahon was a crazy moment. But the icing on the cake came the following night on Monday Night War when Stone Cold came out to his new heel, "Glass Shatters" by Disturbed. IT was still Austin's theme, but more ominous and vicious. It summed up his new persona. I agree with a lot of people that turning Austin heel was a horrible decision and (even with a…
Sky's The Limit (Remix)
Been following Sasha (now Mercedes Moné) since she started in NXT. You could always see the potential in her, and it wasn't until she turned heel that we got to see the "Boss" persona emerge that took her to the top of the WWE's Women's Division. As of now, she's signed with AEW and hasn't really done anything. AEW has a track record of ruining debuts, so I'm hoping that once she starts hitting the mat, everyone will remember how good she is. And even though her new persona is "The CEO", I don't think anything will beat her at…
Is Cooking
What can you say about The Rock's run in WWE that hasn't been already said? But my favorite era was 2003 after his heel turn defeated Hulk Hogan at 'No Way Out'. Everyone tuned in to witness the aftermath and we were treated to a whole new persona for The Rock, complete with a remixed entrance song and a 'Hollywood' style Titantron.
Rockhouse
Who doesn't love the New World Order porno music? It's iconic. There's a 'fake' version that was in one of the video games. I forgot which one, but I liked that one better. It was a little more funky, but this theme here had everyone else chasing that 'cool' factor in their entrance.
