The Marías are the psychedelic-soul lovechild of Puerto Rican-bred, Atlanta-raised María Zardoya and Los Angeles native, Josh Conway. A smooth rendezvous of jazz percussion, hypnotic guitar riffs, smoke-velvet vocals, and nostalgic horn solos, there's something undeniably sensual in their dreamlike fusion of jazz, psychedelia, funk, and lounge. Drawing inspiration from their vastly diverse backgrounds and the intimacy of their mystic Hollywood Hills commune, Josh and María write, record, and produce within the walls of their home with their dog, Lucy.
Marvel's street-level Gang War continues with 3 more tie-ins. The mutant Fall of The House of X storyline brought you the "That Fall" last week,q and now continues with The Rise of The Power of X. A new volume of Ultimate Spider-man launches a new number one. And Wolverine kicks off The Sabertooth War. But my pick of the week goes to what's possibly my favorite book out right now:

Like everyone else I'm still suffering from The Walking Dead fatigue. I think the main show's unamusing ending, coupled with the underwhelming TWD: The World Beyond and whimper of the last episodes of Fear The Walking Dead, and they close to horrible anthology series Tales of The Walking Dead, the franchise seemed to be dying a slow death. But there are some glimmers of goodness. The Maggie/Negan driven Death City along with the Darryl Dixon spinoff shows there still some life in the 4 year old franchise.
Now AMC is dropping the first first trailer for the upcoming The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live and…

Starfield was hands-down my favorite game of 2023. I'm still playing it to this day. But sooner or later, something new needs to come along and just by the trailer, I'm guessing Exodus will be my next game. I haven't seen game play or anything yet, but the story is intriguing!
