I was dreading getting a workstation upgrade because my 2021 MacMini has reach its end-of-life (pertaining to video editing and motion graphics in 4K). My only alternative was going to be upgrading to the a MacStudio with maxed out RAM which was going to take about $5k out my pocket. But today, Apple announced to new compact MacMini 2024 running on the M4 chip and up to 64GB of memory. 5 USB-C ports (3 of them Thunderbolt) and able to power 3 monitors simultaneously? At the cost of around half the price of the MacStudio.
