I love Starfield. I've played every damn day since the game was released a year ago today. I'll admit there were some issues and shortfalls during that time. Bugs, lack of content, and limitations to a lot of the promised gameplay turned more than a few players off, which caused the game's overall score to dramatically drop. But that didn't matter to me. I got the same enjoyment out of Starfield that I had gotten from Bethesda's previous games from the Elder Scrolls and Fallout series. After a year, Bethesda has done well updating the game... even adding the much-request vehicle for traversing planets. But still, the main complaint seems to be the lack of content. I even have to admit that after starting over a dozen new playthroughs... even with additional content, it's getting pretty tiresome.
Releasing Starfield's version of the Creation Kit seems to be the best solution. A lot of modders have been creating great content to add additional value for playthroughs (even after a lot of them thought it would be impossible to do so, with the way the game was created). In the time the Creation Kit was released, there have been more than a few…

This week was dominated by Venom and Absolute Power comics. But my pick of the week came out of nowhere, with a cross-IP book that I would've just skirted by... if it wasn't created by the Secret Wars combo of Hickman and Ribić! Of course i'm talking about...
Comic Book of The Week:
Aliens vs. Avengers #1
Hickman / Ribić
Real talk... normally, I see these 'cross-property' comics and just skip past them. I'm a suck for comic continuity, so when i see these 'elseworlds' stories that have no influence on the main Marvel 616 timeline, I perceive them to have no importance so i don't read them. But first seeing the stunning cover by Esad Ribić and them gazing up to the left corner and seeing the name of Jonathan Hickman, I immediately got those chills from my first read-through of 2015's Secret Wars. So, i had to pick it up. Still, my expectations were low. But what i preceded to read was the start of what could be an epic story with major ramifications.
I the near futures, some rogue Wayan Corporation Androids were running secret experiments with Xenomorph eggs, infecting beings and sending the infected to unsuspecting planets. The Wakandans…

Germany has spent the decades since World War II in national penance for Nazi crimes. America spent the decades after the Civil War transforming Confederate crimes into virtues. It is illegal to fly the Nazi flag in Germany. The Confederate flag is enmeshed in the state flag of Mississippi.

The Marías are the psychedelic-soul lovechild of Puerto Rican-bred, Atlanta-raised María Zardoya and Los Angeles native Josh Conway. The two are joined by their closest friends, Jesse Perlman on guitar and Edward James on keys. Their undeniably intuitive musical chemistry can be heard in the band's smooth rendezvous of jazz percussion, hypnotic guitar riffs, smoke-velvet vocals and nostalgic horn solos. There's something undeniably sensual in their dreamlike fusion of jazz, psychedelia, funk and lounge.

This was a pretty light week for me in comics so i don't have much to say. Nut here's my pull list.

Best of The Rest:

"Orphan Black," created by Graeme Manson and John Fawcett, is a critically acclaimed sci-fi thriller that premiered in 2013 on BBC America. The series follows Sarah Manning, a street-smart woman who discovers she's one of several genetically identical clones after witnessing the suicide of a woman who looks exactly like her. As Sarah delves deeper into the mystery of her origins, she uncovers a complex conspiracy involving illegal human cloning, shadowy organizations, and her fellow clones, each with distinct personalities and lives. Tatiana Maslany's award-winning performances as multiple characters bring depth and nuance to the story, making each clone unique. The show expertly blends science fiction, suspense, and drama, exploring themes of identity, ethics, and the nature of individuality. As Sarah and her clone "sisters" fight to uncover the truth and protect each other, "Orphan Black" delivers a gripping and thought-provoking narrative that keeps viewers on the edge of their seats.
