#ToddyAwards2020 Game of The Year

In the near future, London is facing its downfall. After devastating terror attacks caused by a mysterious entity called Zero Day rock the city, an all-seeing authoritarian state has oppressed the people, a corrupt private military corporation controls the streets, and a powerful crime syndicate is preying on the vulnerable.

This came as a big surprise to me After being stuck in a game rut.. playing nothing but State of Decay 2 and Civilization VI for the better part of the year, I picked up Watchdogs: Legion for no other reason than I owned the first 2 games and wanted to complete the set, I only played a few hours of Watdogs 1 & 2 and I expected to get just as bored, just as quick. But there was something about the brilliance of the near-future London open world, and the idea of building a resistance team with different skills that put it over the top. Sure, it was riddled with bugs and loved to crash just as I was getting onto the game, but after a few bug fixes it ran as smooth as hell. I can’t wait to upgrade to the X-Box Series X and see this game with a graphical upgrade.

The Rest of The Best
