DC Still Rules Television on The CW

DC Still Rules Television on The CW
For all of Marvel’s success, DC still has the slight edge on the tv end. Sure, Marvel’s been doing great with its Netflix run and Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD has been greatly improving, but DC’s crop of shows, Flash, Arrow, Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow has been very solid with storylines and fan-service crossovers..
The Final Season of Halt And Catch Fire Is Going Out Just As Well As It Started
I love this show. It took me a while to get into. but once I did it was all love. Chronicling the lives of four tech professionals during the decades of the technology boom, we get to see their fictional company grow and change along with giants like Xerox, IBM, Microsoft and later, MCI, AOL […]

The Final Trailer for Marvel’s The Defenders Doesn’t Disappoint

The Final Trailer for Marvel’s The Defenders Doesn’t Disappoint
Four of Marvel’s biggest heroes are each working individually but have one common goal in mind — to save New York City. Burdened with their own personal challenges, Matt Murdock (Daredevil), Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Danny Rand (Iron Fist) realize that they likely won’t be able to accomplish their goals working solo. That realization […]

The Expanse Is The Best Sci Fi Series Since Battlestar Galactica

The Expanse Is The Best Sci Fi Series Since Battlestar Galactica
Whenever I get the chance, I’m screaming the praises of The Expanse to anyone who will listen. It’s SO DAMN GOOD! Some might even say (cautiously) that it’s even better than the excellent 2004 reboot of Battlestar Galactica. That being said, I do have to admit that it might be a little too heady for […]

A New Dawn for Doctor Who

A New Dawn for Doctor Who
I love Doctor Who. I’ve never seen a show that manages to take a premise and stories that sound so ridiculous on paper and make them so gripping and at times, gut-wrenching. Thank you to Russell T Davies and Steven Moffat for 2 awesome runs on the show since 2005. Next up, it’s Chris Chibnall’s […]

After Years of False Starts, I’m Finally Enamored with Broadchurch

After Years of False Starts, I’m Finally Enamored with Broadchurch
Even though I have this unhealthy obsession with British Crime Dramas, it’s taken me a while to get into  the iTV hit, Broadchurch. I don’t know why. Everything about it and everyone involved in this show is top-notch. Anything that Olivia Colman does (The Night Manager, Twenty Twelve, Peep Show, etc.) I’m on board with. David Tennant, […]

I Think I’m Sorry Is The Funniest Show On Television Right Now

I Think I’m Sorry Is The Funniest Show On Television Right Now
One of the cool things happening in comedy as of late is a lot of comedians and comedy troops getting a television show where they can showcase their brand of comedy. From Teachers and Quickdraw, to Broad City and Idiotsitter. we seem to be in a nice golden age of televised comedy. The big standout for me is the half hour scripted […]

#ComicCon2017 I’m Nowhere Near Convinced With Marvel’s Inhumans
I don’t know if Marvel flinched seeing DC really pushing content, but it seems like they’re doubling down on pushing comic book properties to television. Cloak and Dagger, The Runaways, all the Netflix shows. I’m good with all of them. And then there’s Inhumans, a show that will be directly tied to Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.. […]

#ComicCon2017 Justice League Slowly Inches Closer To Anticipation

#ComicCon2017 Justice League Slowly Inches Closer To Anticipation
With a small beacon of hope in Wonder Woman, this new trailer for Justice League actually gives the movie some new life. Hopefully, Zack Snyder and Joss Whedon have learned something from Wonder Woman to breathe some life into this picture, and not make it another grim, dark special effects orgasm. The Flash seems to […]
